Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 230

2006 Lovell Gulch Forge visit

The Scouts had the privilege of visiting a local Blacksmith here in town.  Lovell Gulch Forge is owned and operated by Master Blacksmith Michael Pick.  Mike is a Vietnam Marine Veteran and a strong believer in the Boy Scout program.  Mike showed the Scouts how to make chain rings and then made a special meat hook for the Troop to use on outings.  The hook was adorned with a really trick "pineapple" handle.  Can't wait to flip some steaks with this baby.  mmmmm....steak.....  uh.....where was I?  Oh Yeah....   Mike was extremely knowledgeable and answered many, many questions that the boys had and then topped the evening off by exploding water.  That was cool :-)

THANKS MIKE !!!
